Fast Lube Service Technician Duval Ford is seeking experienced Fast Lube Service Technicians. This position is designed to provide hands-on experience and training in automotive repair and will work under experienced Technicians’ supervision, learning to diagnose, repair, and install equipment on various vehicles. Requirements

Basic understanding of automotive systems and components.
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and work in a team environment.
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
Manufacturer required training.
Minimum of one month related experience and/or training.
All applicants are required to demonstrate the ability to pass all pre-employment testing to include: background checks, motor vehicle check and pre-employment drug test and be able to present a valid drivers' license.

Responsibilities

Works alongside an assigned Technician to learn to perform quality vehicle service maintenance and repairs.
Assists assigned technician, as needed.
Delivers customer cars to service stalls, as requested by Technicians.
Picks up parts from the parts department, as directed by Technicians.
Performs safety inspections, oil changes, lubrication work, basic maintenance, and minor repairs, as directed.
Replenishes supplies, as requested by Technicians or Service Manager.
Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
Attending training classes and departmental meetings.
Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
