Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service. Operates the cash register accurately, scans products, and handles transactions. Ensures the cleanliness and organization of the store, maintains product quality and quantity, and manages supply needs for both the store and the gas pumps. Requirements

• Must be able to physically perform medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds of force frequently, and 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
• Must be able to perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
• Frequent exposure to temperature extremes and dampness.
• Awareness of possible equipment movement hazards, electrical shock, and exposure to cleaning chemicals and solvents.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
• Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service.
• Operates cash register accurately and scans product.
• Handles various payment methods including cash, checks, credit cards, and food stamps.
• Redeems promotional coupons.
• Ensures cleanliness of the store, including registers, restrooms, break room, and backroom.
• Sweeps and mops floors.
• Maintains product quality and quantity.
• Tends to supply needs in the store and at the pumps.
• Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing items, loading/unloading heavy items, and noting suggestions.
• Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service.
• Works collaboratively with co-workers as a team.
• Assists with inventory of the department.
• Receives and checks in delivered merchandise and places it in appropriate storage.
• Fills displays and stocks shelves.
• Maintains the exterior lot, including shoveling snow, spreading ice melt, and hosing down the lot.
• Fills outside towel holders and replenishes window washer fluid.
• Removes trash inside and out in a timely manner.
• Checks in product, puts product away, and may review invoices.
• Understands and practices proper sanitation procedures.
• Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.
• Adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines.
• Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
• Orders merchandise and supplies as needed.
• Prices products for customers as necessary.
• Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.
