About The Position
LASCANA USA is seeking a creative, curious, and highly organized intern for its Product Development & Merchandising team. This hands-on role provides exposure to how a fashion collection develops from initial product development and fittings through merchandising, marketing, and the customer experience. The intern will work across teams and with international partners and vendors, learning about the full product lifecycle and the creative and commercial sides of fashion. The position is hybrid, with two days in the Jacksonville office and three days remote, and is an hourly role working 32–40 hours per week. The intern will gain real-world experience with an international fashion brand in product development, merchandising, customer insights, global vendor collaboration, and emerging tools such as AI.
Requirements
- Be a current student or recent graduate with experience or a strong interest in fashion, merchandising, product development, or a related creative field.
- Strong visual eye and exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Curious, proactive, and comfortable working independently and across teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lift, carry, and organize samples weighing up to 25 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Basic Photoshop skills preferred.
- Fashion technical knowledge is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Support collection development from initial concept through production handoff.
- Participate in fittings, sample reviews, and product approvals.
- Help maintain seasonal collection presentations, product data, imagery, and samples.
- Communicate with international vendors and sourcing partners about development updates and timelines.
- Support AI-powered fashion imagery for new and existing styles.
- Analyze sales, returns, and customer reviews to identify product opportunities.
- Participate in assortment meetings and track key decisions and follow-ups.
- Support product execution across Web, Marketing, B2B, catalogs, and email.
- Assist with administrative tasks and special projects for different areas of the LASCANA business.
