About The Position

Lead store operations by developing high-performing teams, driving sales and financial results, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. Provide coaching, training, and leadership to associates while ensuring operational excellence, merchandising standards, and compliance with company policies. Analyze business performance, manage expenses, reduce shrink, and execute strategic initiatives to achieve sales and profit goals. Requirements

  • 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
  • For facilities that sell firearms, I acknowledge that the position for which I am applying will require successful completion of a firearms- specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
  • For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state specific requirements, I acknowledge that the position for which I am applying may require a current state issued Certificate of Eligibility.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams through teaching, training, active listening, and regular store tours using the Tour to Teach methodology.
  • Provide timely coaching and constructive feedback to associates and leaders.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with associates at all levels regarding store operations, merchandising, technology, business initiatives, and company direction.
  • Lead organizational change by setting clear expectations, providing guidance, and ensuring successful implementation of business initiatives.
  • Hire, train, mentor, and develop associates while creating opportunities for career growth.
  • Assign responsibilities, establish clear performance expectations, recognize achievements, and foster accountability.
  • Recruit and retain top talent while promoting a culture of belonging, inclusion, and continuous development.
  • Model and uphold exceptional customer service standards by following Walmart's Better Ways service model.
  • Support customer-focused initiatives, including community outreach and "Store of the Community" programs.
  • Resolve customer concerns, complaints, and service issues promptly and effectively.
  • Develop and implement action plans to address service deficiencies and continuously improve the customer experience.
  • Drive sales and financial performance by analyzing Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and monitoring key business metrics.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and expense management to ensure financial goals are achieved.
  • Oversee merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational execution.
  • Develop and execute action plans to reduce shrink, improve operational efficiency, and maximize profitability.
  • Coordinate and oversee operational activities to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to support business initiatives.
  • Establish measurable goals, monitor progress, and drive accountability for results.
  • Identify improvement opportunities, demonstrate adaptability, and promote continuous learning across the team.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
