About The Position

Uptown Cheapskate Cypress is seeking a strong Assistant Store Manager of Operations with the ability to manage staff, lead their buying team, and assist with strong inventory management/organization skills. They are looking for a go-getter who gets the job done, has team spirit, and a positive attitude. Uptown Cheapskate is an exciting retail store concept that sells quality clothing brands at affordable prices. Every month, franchise stores buy and resell thousands of clothing items that have been gently used at a fraction of the prices originally charged. Their stores feel more like a boutique than a thrift shop, allowing more people to feel comfortable shopping second-hand. Uptown Cheapskate has a passion for sustainable fashion and is dedicated to reducing the impact of the fashion industry on the planet by being green 365 days per year. Since 2015, Uptown Cheapskate has joined forces with Kid to Kid and buildOn across the nation to raise money to build schools in developing countries. With the support of tens of thousands of customers all across the nation, they have raised over $600,000 and funded 18 schools (and counting).

Requirements

• At least 1-3 years of experience in Fashion Retail within the last 4 years
• Team player

Responsibilities

• Evaluate & price inventory using proprietary software
• Manage inventory through regular markdowns and merchandising
• Lead a team of 8-20 Store Staff
• Assist with running the store with passion and drive
• Fill in for call-outs from staff members
