About The Position

This position supports the overall success and sustainability of the Quapaw Farmers Market, Mercantile, and Food Hub by contributing to a positive, community-focused environment. The role plays an important part in promoting market engagement and enhancing the visibility and impact of market programs within the community.

Requirements

Proficiency in computer systems and spreadsheet applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams.
Ability to manage vendor applications, communications, scheduling, farm inspections, and reporting processes.
Ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations and analyze figures and amounts.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license in good standing and qualify under the Quapaw Nation Motor Vehicle Policy.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of one to two years of experience in business and/or marketing within agriculture science, horticulture science, or a related field is preferred.
Associate’s degree in business, management, marketing, communications, horticulture, agriculture, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant coursework, preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain inventory across multiple vendors to ensure product availability and accuracy.
Maintain accurate meat inventory and coordinates marketing efforts to support retail and wholesale operations for the Quapaw Nation, ensuring product quality, availability, and compliance with established standards.
Oversee merchandise storage and stock rotation to minimize spoilage and product loss.
Ensure all products are accurately priced, tagged, and labeled.
Maintain fully stocked shelves and ensure displays are clean, organized, and visually appealing.
Administer and maintain records for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP), and Market Cash transactions.
Track and record market metrics and operational data.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, local farmers, and community members.
Complete and maintain daily operational records, including market reports and cash drawer reconciliations for the Quapaw Farmers Market, Mercantile, and Food Hub.
Maintain flexibility to work irregular hours as needed, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Enforce farmers market rules and policies in a professional and respectful manner.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet established deadlines.
Coordinate, organize, and oversee all aspects of the farmers market program.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards, including those set forth by the Ottawa County Health Department, Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry (ODAFF), and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
Manage and update social media platforms and website content to promote market activities.
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming market environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
