About The Position
The Farm Telecommunications CCTV Tech 1 is part of a team that installs and supports information systems for dairy farms across the country. This is a career track technical position with room for growth. Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware, software, wireless networks, low-voltage systems, and cabling infrastructure. This position requires a strong technical aptitude and experience and a desire to work in a farm setting with a team approach. The position is physically demanding and requires work in a variety of environmental conditions (heat and cold) and significant travel (minimum 60% of time) throughout the United States.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Animal Science, General Agriculture, Information Systems, or a related field; additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
- At least one year of relevant experience, such as repairing Windows-based computers, deploying point-to-point or point-to-multipoint wireless networks, providing managed IT services, or supporting technical infrastructure.
- Familiarity with computer hardware, wireless networks and agricultural technology systems.
Nice To Haves
- Relevant industry certifications or specialized low-voltage experience preferred.
- Relevant industry certifications or specialized experience in low-voltage systems, CCTV/video surveillance, alarm systems, access control, structured cabling, or networking preferred.
- Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to customer locations as needed.
