The Farm Resource Specialist would play a key role in keeping our daily farm operations running smoothly. Working closely with the Sr. Manager, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a variety of administrative tasks essential to farm success.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills-- and ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Attention to detail, quality and accuracy of work.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues independently
  • Ability to maintain the privacy of sensitive information.
  • Flexibility to handle a variety of tasks and adjust to changing priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Post Secondary Degree is a plus
  • Dairy or agriculture industry experience is a plus
  • Bilingual/Spanish skills are strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Learn and operate cattle inventory & nutrition data collection software essential to daily dairy operation.
  • Create and maintain administrative workbooks containing key dairy performance data.
  • Collect data needed to assist with the month-end feed reconciliation process.
  • Assist in the development of the farm data warehouse project.
  • Support records review and training for office personnel across farm locations.
  • Compile, review, and distribute daily and weekly production reports to farm and management teams.
  • Support farm commodity inventory maintenance and tracking to ensure accurate feed KPI dashboard updates.
  • Support the reconciliation of prepaid commodity agreements, including coordinating with vendors to help resolve discrepancies.
  • Act as a resource for farm teams, providing guidance on administrative matters.
  • Provide coverage for office personnel absences at any farm location as needed
  • Provide analytical support and analysis to management on an as-needed basis.
