About The Position

The Farm Manager will be responsible for efficiently optimizing the growing and care of all grass varieties, harvesting sod for timely deliveries with minimal waste, and maintaining all equipment in an efficient and cost-effective manner. This role also involves managing the employee staff through hiring, training, and motivation, reporting pertinent information to the Regional Manager and Corporate Office, keeping up-to-date records, and reviewing/approving purchases and invoices. Additionally, the Farm Manager must ensure weekly safety training is conducted to minimize work-related accidents.

Requirements

• Must have basic mathematical skills including working with units of measure.
• Must be able to make sound judgments with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to make calculated decisions that are most efficient, effective, and economically feasible.
