About The Position

Osprey Organics is seeking a full-time, permanent Farm Harvesting Supervisor (NOC 82030) to join their organic farm in Woodstock, ON. This role is crucial for supporting daily operations, contributing to sustainable farming practices, and ensuring high-quality organic crop production. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced agricultural environment, enjoying hands-on work. Responsibilities include supervising farm workers, managing crop growth, maintaining records, operating machinery, and enforcing farm safety and bio-security procedures.

Requirements

3 to less than 5 years of experience in a similar agricultural role
Completion of Secondary School required
Ability to communicate in English
Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a team environment

Nice To Haves

Experience with equipment such as forklifts, loaders, skid steers, farm trucks, and hand tools is an asset

Responsibilities

Plan and monitor crop growth, considering factors such as water saturation, light, and temperature
Supervise and coordinate the activities of 5–10 farm workers and harvesting labourers
Organize and prioritize daily farming operations to meet production goals
Assist in developing and enforcing farm safety and bio-security procedures
Maintain accurate financial, production, and quality control records
Oversee crop production, including vertical farming systems
Sort and grade harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable categories
Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
Hire, Train, schedule, and support farm staff
Perform general farm duties as required
