About The Position

This position involves performing general labor on a farm, requiring the ability to handle various physical tasks and work in different environmental conditions. The role includes activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials and equipment. Protective gear will be worn as needed.

Requirements

• Must have transportation to get to work.
• The ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• The ability to stand for long periods of time.
• The ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects using both hands and good finger dexterity.
• The ability to work in hot, cold and or wet environments.
• Active listening – Giving full attention to what your supervisors are saying and asking questions as appropriate.
• Speaking – Talking to others in a professional and courteous manner to convey information effectively.

• Farm experience is desirable, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials, equipment and cleaning equipment.
• Wearing common protective or safety equipment such as hairnet, beard guard, dust mask, gloves, smocks, aprons, boots and ear & eye protection.
• Working weekends and holidays as needed, usually on a rotation basis.
• Doffing personal clothes and donning clean farm clothes to enter the farm complex each workday.
• Using a pressure washer and working with cleaning and disinfection products.
