About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and mechanically skilled Farm Equipment Mechanic & Driver to support daily agricultural operations through equipment maintenance, repairs, and transportation duties. This role is responsible for diagnosing and repairing farm machinery while also operating and transporting equipment, materials, and agricultural products as needed. The ideal candidate has experience working with tractors, combines, sprayers, implements, diesel engines, and agricultural equipment, along with a strong work ethic and commitment to safety.

Requirements

  • Experience repairing and maintaining agricultural or heavy equipment preferred
  • Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and powertrains
  • Experience operating farm machinery and agricultural trucks/trailers
  • CDL preferred (or willingness to obtain if required)
  • Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Frequent bending, lifting, climbing, and standing
  • Willingness to work extended hours during planting and harvest seasons

Nice To Haves

  • Farm equipment dealership or agricultural service experience
  • Experience with John Deere, Case IH, New Holland, or similar equipment
  • Experience with sprayers and precision ag systems is a plus
  • CDL or agricultural hauling experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair farm equipment including tractors, combines, sprayers, planters, tillage equipment, and implements
  • Perform preventative maintenance including oil changes, greasing, filter replacement, and equipment inspections
  • Troubleshoot and repair diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Conduct seasonal equipment setup and repairs to ensure readiness during planting and harvest
  • Maintain service records and report major repair needs
  • Weld or fabricate minor repairs when needed
  • Operate and transport farm equipment, trucks, trailers, and agricultural materials safely and efficiently
  • Haul grain, seed, fertilizer, feed, or equipment as needed
  • Assist with field operations including planting, spraying, harvesting, and material handling
  • Load and unload equipment and supplies
  • Ensure equipment and vehicles comply with safety standards and DOT requirements (if applicable)
