About The Position

To facilitate regular and consistent quality visits between children and natural families in client homes within the Durham Region or at Durham Children’s Aid Society offices (as assigned); providing role modeling and support to both parents and children to facilitate meaningful and beneficial interaction in visits; provide written reports on each visit supervised and to attend court to testify and/or swear out affidavits with respect to his/her/their involvement with clients. The facilitator will liaise with other teams/departments where required and provide back-up assistance to other program personnel.

Requirements

3-year diploma in Child and Youth, Social Service or related field.
1+ years’ experience.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks and workload independently.
Computer literate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in a second language an asset.
An equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, and training may be considered as appropriate.
Must undergo and successfully pass a background check.
Proof of education is required.
Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
Must maintain third-party liability insurance of a minimum of $2 million.
