About The Position
Professional Services Group is now hiring for the position of Family Systems Therapist! Are you passionate about helping families build stronger connections and supporting youth through life's challenges? Join our team with Professional Services Group! We are a community-based social services organization dedicated to helping individuals and families through dynamic and innovative programming. Looking to get licensed as an LPC or LCSW? You can earn your clinical supervision hours on the job! The Family Systems Therapy (FST) program provides intensive home-based individual and family treatment addressing the multiple determinants of delinquent behavior in youth involved with Kenosha County Youth Justice Court. As the Family Systems Therapist, you will work with youth and families through multiple weekly contacts in the home, or other community settings. Our programming follows the Multisystemic Therapy approach, with the Therapist working to understand the function of the youth's maladaptive behavior, as well as the strengths within the family.
Requirements
- Must have a Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or closely related
- Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with adolescents, teens, and their families is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assess the therapeutic needs of clients and create, implement, and evaluate client treatment plans
- Counsel clients and families in accordance with the treatment plan
- Demonstrate knowledge and skill in addressing family system, mental health, parenting, and alcohol/drug issues through individual, family, and/or group counseling.
- Organize and facilitate structured group, individual, and/or family activities.
- Exercise judgement to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations.
- Safely transport clients as needed.
