Family Support Worker (GLFS)
About The Position

Family Support Workers work directly with biological parents/caregivers and their children to teach skills necessary for maintaining a safe and thriving home environment. This role involves transporting children to supervised visits with their parents and offers autonomy and a flexible schedule while meeting assigned case hours. The position includes weekly meetings and training with a supervisor, monthly agency meetings and training, and continued outside training opportunities. GLFS is hiring in all areas of Nebraska.
Requirements
- Employees must provide their own reliable personal vehicle to travel/transport up to 3-4 kids frequently as part of their daily work.
- Must have demonstrated 2+ years of experience working with people in a human services field, or have a bachelor's degree in the human services field.
- Timeliness and streamlined communication are needed.

Responsibilities
- Work directly with biological parents/caregivers and their children to teach skills to work towards and keep a safe thriving home environment.
- Transport children to a supervised visit with their parents.
- Meet case assigned hours.
- Participate in weekly meetings & training with supervisor.
- Participate in monthly meetings & training with the agency.
- Participate in continued outside training.
