About The Position

Family Support Workers work directly with biological parents/caregivers and their children to teach skills necessary for maintaining a safe and thriving home environment. This role involves transporting children to supervised visits with their parents and offers autonomy and a flexible schedule while meeting case-assigned hours. The position includes weekly meetings and training with a supervisor, monthly agency meetings and training, and continued outside training opportunities. GLFS is hiring in all areas of Nebraska.

Requirements

Employees must provide their own reliable personal vehicle to travel/transport up to 3-4 kids frequently as part of their daily work.
Must have demonstrated 2+ years of experience working with people to help facilitate change or a bachelor's in the human services field.
Timeliness and streamlined communication are needed.

Nice To Haves

Volunteer experience with youth groups, daycares, budgeting, etc.

Responsibilities

Work directly with biological parents/caregivers and their children to teach skills to work towards and keep a safe thriving home environment.
Transport children to a supervised visit with their parents.
