About The Position

New Moms is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young mothers and their families to achieve thriving futures through innovative housing, job training, and family support programs. The Family Support Coach will provide home and community-based services to young mothers utilizing the Parents as Teachers model. This role involves parent coaching, case management, and group programming, working collaboratively with Doulas and other team members to offer high-quality, trauma-informed support to families in Chicago. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a starting salary range of $49,000 - $51,000. The main office is located at 5317 W Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL, with travel to surrounding areas expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in social work, psychology, counseling, or similar field OR Bachelor’s in other field + 2 years clinical/human service experience OR High school diploma + 5 years clinical or human service experience
  • At least 1 year experience in a similar role preferred
  • Valid driver’s license, daily access to a car, and insurance required
  • Comfort using digital tools and case management software
  • Ability to work one evening per week; occasional weekends

Responsibilities

  • Provide regular in-home visits using evidence-based curriculum
  • Coach and support families in parenting, goal setting, and mental wellness
  • Develop service plans using assessment tools and participant input
  • Link families with resources and advocate on their behalf
  • Encourage participation in weekly parent support groups
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation
  • Contribute to team learning and support program compliance
