As Family Services Specialist for Treatment Foster Care Program, you will lead the on-going effort to train and evaluate Teaching Parents (TP) for ITFC program; provide trainings and guidance to Intercept staff to assist with the implementation of practice models; support referral and admission coordination to include case management, interviewing, communicating with placing agency and case workers, and transportation of applicants; support 24 hour on call rotation to provide crisis intervention services; maintain and update database of referral information; provide program development, or training, support as needed, including attendance at venues, and formulation of pertinent information and tools for foster parent recruitment efforts.

Requirements

  • Doctorate or master's degree in social work from a college or university accredited by the Council on Social Work Education or a field related to social work such as sociology, psychology, special education, or counseling, with a student placement in casework services to children and families or one year or experience in providing casework services to children and families
  • Baccalaureate degree in social work or a field related to social work including, but not limited to sociology, psychology, special education, or counseling and one year of experience in providing casework services to children and families
  • Baccalaureate degree in any field plus two years' experience in providing casework services to children and families
  • An associates degree in a related field plus four years' experience in the field of foster care or experience in working with behavioral programs, counseling, and/or skills training is preferred

Responsibilities
