About The Position

This position involves assessing child safety and risk, developing and monitoring safety plans, and providing ongoing services. The specialist will conduct home visits, assess service needs, coordinate referrals, and encourage family participation in services to improve parenting skills and family functioning. The role also includes engaging and supporting families through collaborative meetings, preparing court reports and affidavits, testifying in court, and completing all required documentation in a timely manner according to state and local policy. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field, or a Bachelor's Degree in any field with two years of related experience in Social Work
  • Within 90 days of employment, must have a driving commute within a one-hour time frame of the City of Winchester limits

Responsibilities

  • Assess for child safety and risk by completing assessments and investigations
  • Develop and monitor safety plans
