Family Services Program Manager
About The Position
Project for Pride in Living (PPL) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering low-income individuals and families to become self-reliant through integrated services in housing, employment, and education. The Family Services Manager will lead a dedicated team committed to helping families thrive in Supportive Housing. Through innovative programming and compassionate leadership, this role will oversee services that empower families to achieve housing stability, strengthen behavioral health, build financial resilience, engage with their communities, and support healthy youth and parenting outcomes. This role combines strategic program leadership with hands-on team management, ensuring services are responsive, effective, and centered on the unique strengths and needs of each family. The manager will supervise Family Services Coordinators and Children & Youth Services Coordinators while driving excellence in service delivery and continuous program improvement.
Requirements
- Experience providing supervision and talent management
- Experience with program design and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
- Grant and budget and data management experience
- Experience providing strengths-based case management, direct services and developing supportive housing service plans
- Ability to provide crisis intervention and support
- Ability to work with and develop partnerships with outside agencies in the community
- Strong knowledge of community resources and service networks
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license and insurance
- Bachelor degree in social work, human services, education or a related field (additional experience may substitute for education)
- 5+ years of experience working with diverse and formerly homeless populations, or in social work, Human Services or other closely related field
Responsibilities
- Oversee Family Services program design, service delivery, budget, staffing and coordination with internal and external partners to assure participants maintain housing
- Develop and manage relationships and Memorandums of Understanding with service partners
- Assist with contracts and reporting to HUD, MN Housing, DHS, etc.
- Provide project management on initiatives and special projects
- Work closely with Volunteer Program to recruit, train, and support work study and tutor-mentors for after school programming
- Support Family Services Team, identify needs for training and case consultation
- Respond as needed to after hour’s emergencies or incidents in support of staff
- Represent PPL in the Supportive Housing community
- Hire, train and support 4-8 staff and interns
- Provide clinical supervision hours for an MSW level staff person
