About The Position

The Family Services Counselor (FSC) focuses on empowering families to solve problems, become self-sufficient, and strengthen their relationships with community resources. FSCs provide clinical services, including thorough family assessments; identification of family strengths and risk factors; and development and implementation of family service plans, with outcomes identified in each plan in collaboration with social workers. Requirements

A master’s degree in social work, psychology, social or behavioral science, or a closely related field; alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in social or behavioral sciences or a closely related field and two years of paid experience delivering services to families and children.
Have a clear criminal history and pass a background check.
Have, or obtain within 30 days of hire, CPR/First Aid certification.
Have a current driver’s license, car, and car insurance.
Complete a TB test within seven days of the first day of employment.
Currently be, or be able to become, licensed, certified, or agency-affiliated as a counselor in Washington State under Department of Health healthcare professional credentialing guidelines.

Nice To Haves

A master’s degree in social or behavioral science or a closely related field from an accredited college or university, plus at least one year of experience working with children and families.
