This position is considered Seasonal Full-Time, with an approximate start date in March/April and running through December, including some downtime during the off-peak period. The Family Services Advocate will provide direct health and social services to children and families by following established program area timelines, conducting enrollment procedures, identifying and addressing immediate needs, and gathering child health and development information. They will also conduct screenings, establish trusting relationships, and perform home visits. The role involves communicating effectively, assessing family strengths and needs, and assisting families in setting and achieving goals. Additionally, the advocate will promote, organize, and facilitate educative trainings and meetings, collaboratively develop service plans, monitor individual case requirements, and compile data, referrals, and follow-ups. The position requires knowledge of recruitment procedures, establishing and maintaining working relationships with community partners, staying current on community resources, and attending network group committees. The advocate will develop, prepare, and maintain family records, documents, files, reports, and databases. The role requires working a variety of hours, the ability to travel for work and training, multi-tasking, meeting deadlines, remaining calm and professional under pressure, performing basic mathematical functions, and keeping track of assigned local budgets. Maintaining confidentiality and complying with all relevant regulations are essential.
