The Family Service Specialist I (FSS I) is responsible for determining family eligibility and enrollment and maintaining family/child files in compliance with state regulations, program policies, and procedures, including fraud prevention protocols. The FSS I develops and conducts outreach activities to ensure the assigned caseload and child count are maintained. The FSS I actively participate in community events, facilitates family meetings, and delivers program presentations to both small and large groups. Manage cases and provides technical assistance and supportive services, which may include home visitations, referrals to community agencies, follow-ups, and tracking demographic data.
