ELD Family-School Liaison (10-month)
About The Position
Assists in the design and implementation of a system-wide plan to improve the academic achievement of multilingual learners and provides information and training to families and school personnel. Provides a support program for multilingual learners and their families to enhance and expand services beyond the classroom. Assists multilingual families in understanding the processes to identify students who are gifted and talented and/or have special needs by providing information about support services available beyond the classroom environment. Ensures that all initiatives support the system-wide goals identified in the districts strategic plan. Performs other duties assigned.
Requirements
- Experience assisting in the design and implementation of system-wide plans.
- Experience providing information and training to families and school personnel.
- Experience providing support programs for multilingual learners and their families.
- Experience assisting families in understanding processes for identifying gifted and talented or special needs students.
- Knowledge of support services available beyond the classroom environment.
- Ability to ensure initiatives support system-wide goals.
