From your first week, you’ll be paired with a direct supervisor who will help you navigate your new role, answer questions, and support your ongoing clinical development.

Requirements

  • Licensure: Minimum of an LMHP, PLMHP, or a Master’s level intern within one semester of graduation required.
  • Vehicle: Must provide a reliable personal vehicle to travel as part of daily work (GLFS reimburses drive time and mileage).
  • Technology: Must provide your own cell phone and internet service with daily access to GLFS work email and GLFS Computer Systems. A personal computer, iPad, or tablet is optional but highly encouraged.
  • Communication: Highly developed skills in timeliness and streamlined communication are necessary for success.
  • Core Traits: Self-motivated, empathetic, and possessing a deep understanding that families require structured guidance and clinical support to heal and thrive.
  • Background Check: Successful completion of background checks will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide brief, intensive in-home therapeutic services to families identified and referred by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (NE DHHS).
  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and design tailored treatment plans.
  • Execute clinical interventions and facilitate ongoing discharge and aftercare planning.
  • Collaborate closely with NE DHHS caseworkers and GLFS Skillbuilders to assist families in developing and implementing healthier habits, relationships, and lifestyles.
  • Maintain timely, streamlined communication and precise clinical documentation.
  • Manage a flexible schedule and maintain autonomy while meeting assigned case hours and client needs.
  • Participate in agency meetings, consultations, and professional development opportunities to further your therapeutic expertise.
