About The Position

The Future Pathways program is an innovative approach built on practice elements such as motivational interviewing, communication skills building and goal setting to respond to identified needs and achieve real and demonstrable outcomes. Working collaboratively, the team seek to address key intersectionality issues with families, children and young people (e.g. substance use, mental illness, low income, social isolation) as identified by each regional FPR Response. In this role, you will conduct assessments, develop safety and intervention plans, deliver family-centred support, and collaborate with Child Protection and community partners to achieve positive outcomes.

Requirements

Experience working with high needs complex families
Using a child focused family-centred approach
Understanding theoretical approaches (i.e., motivational interviewing and social inclusion)
Knowledge of evidence-based interventions
Experience conducting risk and needs assessments
The ability to perform work outside of standard office hours to service the needs of clients from time to time
Strong risk assessment skills
Strong case management skills

Current Working with Children Check
Prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement
