About The Position

Neighborhood Health is seeking a Family Practice Physician for its network of community health centers in Nashville, Gallatin, and Lebanon, Tennessee. Neighborhood Health provides comprehensive primary care, integrated behavioral health, and dental services to nearly 30,000 patients, with a primary focus on immigrants, residents of public housing, individuals experiencing homelessness, and people living with addiction. As a federally qualified health center, care is provided regardless of health insurance or ability to pay. The organization is committed to improving its Patient Centered Medical Home model to ensure optimal patient care. The Physician/Provider will be responsible for delivering healthcare services in ambulatory settings, including potential night call and hospital care. Key duties include participating in quality assurance, ensuring patient satisfaction, managing healthcare resources, utilizing the electronic health record (EHR), and attending team meetings. The role supports Neighborhood Health's mission to provide healthcare access to the underserved, engage patients through a patient-centered health home model, deliver high-quality care, and manage costs. Collaboration with behavioral health and dental providers is also expected. The Physician/Provider must achieve meaningful use of EHRs annually, adapting to evolving federal standards.

Requirements

  • Medical education in a primary care specialty.
  • Licensed in the State of Tennessee.
  • DEA licensed.
  • Board certified in specialty (may be obtained within two years of employment).
  • Maintain basic life support certifications.
  • Maintain current continuing medical education and requirements for privileging.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • MAT certified and experience.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience as a Physician.

Responsibilities
