About The Position

Dr. Mark Kazimirski’s family practice is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage for a short term leave of absence from November 15, 2026, to April 15, 2027. Locum physicians provide coverage for family practices, including inpatient and nursing home care, as well as specialist hospital and office coverage as requested.

Requirements

• Eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
• Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
• Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for family practices
• Provide inpatient and nursing home care
• Provide specialist hospital and office coverage as requested

Benefits

• Minimum daily income guarantee of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 for half-day)
• Reimbursement for travel expenses, including kilometrage, per diems, accommodations (up to $300 per night), and airfare (up to $1,500)
• Reimbursement for travel time up to 10 hours per week
• Licensing fees for CPSNS are covered
• Locum physicians may claim Facility On Call fees under specific conditions
