About The Position
Sheet Harbour Family Practice is seeking a Family Physician to join their established practice. The successful candidate will assume the patient panel of a retiring physician and provide community-based family medicine within a collegial, well-supported hospital environment. The role includes clinic-based care, Urgent Treatment Centre coverage, and Long-Term Care support, with all services conveniently located on the same property.

- Collaborative clinic team including: 3 administrative staff, Dedicated team lead, LFM billing support, Nurse Practitioner, Family Practice Nurse
- One physician currently practicing on-site, with two additional physicians located in the same hospital wing
- On-site allied health and support services: Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Dietitian, Addictions Services
- Full-service community hospital offering: Diagnostic Imaging and X-ray, Laboratory services, EKG, Adult Day Clinic, Sexual Health Centre, 6 inpatient beds
- Strong collegial support with integrated hospital and community-based care
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive community family medicine
- Assume an established patient panel from a retiring physician
- Provide coverage for the on-site Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC)
- Provide Long-Term Care (LTC) coverage at Harbourview Lodge
- Weekly rounding
- Participate in a shared call rota
- Overnight call for UTC/LTC (call volume is extremely low)
- Provide occasional evening and after-hours coverage
- Collaborate with on-site interdisciplinary and allied health provider
