About The Position

Marathon Health is seeking a Family Physician to provide patient-centered primary care to employees at assigned Marathon Health Centers through an Employer-Sponsored Direct Primary Care model. This role offers a unique opportunity to practice full-spectrum primary care with a smaller patient panel (800-1000 patients), allowing for longer appointment times (30-60 minutes) and fewer administrative tasks. The focus is on prevention, wellness, acute and chronic disease management, and maximizing provider-patient relationships, aiming for top-notch clinical quality, outstanding service, and reduced overall health costs. The model is value-based, capitated, and insurance-free, allowing providers to focus on patient care and improved health outcomes. Providers will leverage technology for patient interaction and utilize electronic medical records and population management tools. This position involves interdisciplinary teamwork, collaborating with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of residency in Family Practice or Internal Medicine + Pediatric.
  • Board certification or eligibility and intent to certify.
  • Active state license.
  • CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient-centered primary care to employees at assigned Marathon Health Centers.
  • Manage a smaller patient panel (800-1000 patients).
  • Conduct patient visits with appointment times ranging from 30 to 60 minutes.
  • Focus on prevention, wellness, acute and chronic disease management.
  • Maximize provider-patient relationships.
  • Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and other professionals.
  • Utilize electronic medical records and population management tools.
  • Proactively work with patients to prevent diseases and injuries.
  • Consult with patients using technology, including mobile phones and secure email access.
