About The Position

Marathon Health is seeking a Family Physician to provide patient-centered primary care to employees at assigned Marathon Health Centers through an Employer-Sponsored Direct Primary Care model. This role offers a unique opportunity for a primary care career with a smaller patient panel (800-1000 patients), allowing for longer appointment times (30-60 minutes) and more time with patients without financial risk. The model focuses on prevention and wellness, acute and chronic disease management, and maximizing provider-patient relationships. Providers will work in an insurance-free environment, reducing administrative tasks and paperwork. The position utilizes electronic medical records and population management tools for state-of-the-art care. Physicians will collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and focus on improving health outcomes, driving patient engagement, and creating a high-touch service experience.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of residency in Family Practice or Internal Medicine + Pediatric.
  • Board certification or eligibility and intent to certify.
  • Active state license.
  • CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
  • May be required to have a dispensing license per state regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient-centered primary care to employees at assigned Marathon Health Centers.
  • Manage patient panels limited to 800-1000 patients.
  • Conduct patient visits without time restrictions, with appointments ranging from 30-60 minutes.
  • Focus on prevention and wellness, acute and chronic disease management.
  • Improve health outcomes and drive patient engagement.
  • Collaborate with at least two or more Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) within the organization.
  • Utilize electronic medical records and population management tools.
  • Work in an insurance-free environment, minimizing billing and administrative tasks.
  • Leverage technology for patient consultations via mobile phones and secure email access.
