About The Position

The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) role at Madera Community Hospital involves providing medical care, including screening examinations and evaluations. The FNP will conduct thorough history and physical exams, manage patients with multi-system health problems, and counsel/educate patients to promote quality care within a family practice setting. The position also requires the FNP to pursue ongoing education in primary/pediatrics medicine through various professional development avenues and to maintain continuing education requirements as mandated by regulatory agencies. Successful candidates must complete the Madera Community Hospital Medical Staff Credentialing Application Process for Allied Health Medical Staff Privileges before their start date and every two years thereafter, which includes approval from the Medical Staff and the Board of Trustees.

Requirements

  • Current State of California Family Nurse Practitioner License
  • Current State of California Family Nurse Practitioner Furnishing License
  • Current DEA License
  • Current State of California Registered Nurse
  • Current American Heart Association BCLS certificate

Responsibilities

  • Provides medical care including medical screening examinations and evaluations.

  • Completes Madera Community Hospital Medical Staff Credentialing Application Process for Allied Health Medical Staff Privileges prior to first day of work and every two years thereafter.
