Riverside Health Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Riverside Mental Health & Recovery Center in Hampton, Virginia. Family Nurse Practitioner – Riverside Mental Health & Recovery Center Location: Hampton, Virginia Position Type: Full-Time | 4x10 Hour Shifts | No On-Call Position Overview This full-time role consists of four 10-hour shifts per week, with no on-call responsibilities. The provider will focus; the Family Nurse Practitioner will complete medical H&Ps within 24 hours of the patients’ admission to RMHRC. In addition, the Family Nurse Practitioner will assist with any medical consults that come up within the psychiatric unit. Requirements
- Family Nurse Practitioner: Current Family Nurse Practitioner license, and board certification (FNP)
- Eligible for Virginia state medical licensure
- Valid DEA registration
- Independent clinical decision-making
- Proficiency in diagnosing and treating common psychiatric and medical conditions
- Familiarity with managed care and Medicare populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Basic computer literacy

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical and psychiatric assessments
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide patient education and counseling
- Prescribe and evaluate treatments
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Complete medical H&Ps within 24 hours of the patients’ admission to RMHRC
- Assist with any medical consults that come up within the psychiatric unit
