About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their team in Macclenny, FL. This role focuses on providing patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-volume urgent care environment. The FNP will lead a small team and provide a wide range of services including urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The position is open to new graduates and offers comprehensive support, including on-site orientation, training shifts with experienced providers, a complimentary UpToDate subscription, and an on-call provider for clinical decision-making support. FNPs will utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from infants to geriatrics, which helps maintain sharp skills and marketability. The role emphasizes leadership, with the FNP acting as the primary medical provider in the clinic, supported by treatment protocols and a team of medical assistants. The company also supports rural communities by providing accessible care and assisting with applications for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants. Requirements

  • Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers the cost).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
  • Suture.
  • Splint.
  • Conduct General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too).
  • Handle General Dermatology.
  • Address General eye problems.
  • Perform General EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize Emergency management skills.
  • Apply General GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide Occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct Telemedicine.
