Family Nurse Practitioner
About The Position
KidsStreet Urgent Care is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide patient-focused care and help patients feel better FAST. The role involves providing urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine services. The ideal candidate will lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care environment. This opportunity is open to new graduates, with comprehensive training and ongoing support, including a complimentary pediatric urgent care CE course and an NP on-call for clinical decision-making. FNPs will utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages, from infants to geriatrics, which helps keep skills sharp and marketability high. The FNP will act as the primary medical provider in the clinic, leading a team of medical assistants and utilizing treatment protocols for guidance. A rewarding aspect of the role is growing and inspiring medical assistants. KidsStreet is committed to supporting families in the community by accepting Medicaid and being open 362 days a year to provide accessible care and avoid high ER bills. This position offers extensive pediatric care while maintaining other skills and serves as a launchpad for career success, with a two-year commitment expected.
Requirements
- Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required.
- MSN, or higher education required.
- DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers cost).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
- Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
- Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
- Suture.
- Splint.
- Perform General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
- Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist).
- Provide General Dermatology services.
- Treat General eye problems.
- Perform General EKG interpretations.
- Utilize Emergency management skills.
- Provide General GYN expertise.
- Treat children of all ages.
- Provide Occupational medicine services.
- Provide Telemedicine services.
