About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their growing team in Thomasville, GA. The FNP will provide patient-focused care in urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine settings. The role involves leading a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This opportunity is suitable for new graduates, offering comprehensive training, mentorship from experienced providers, and support through an NP on-call system. FNPs will utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages, from infants to geriatrics. The position emphasizes leadership, allowing the FNP to act as the primary medical provider in the clinic and a professional role model for medical assistants. The role also supports rural communities by providing access to care and offering assistance with tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants. This position is described as a "rocket ship" for career growth, with a commitment of two years.

Requirements

  • Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.
  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers the cost).

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures such as toenail removal and foreign object removal.
  • Suture and splint.
  • Conduct general orthopedic evaluations and management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist).
  • Handle general dermatology and general eye problems.
  • Perform general EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize emergency management skills.
  • Demonstrate general GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct telemedicine appointments.
