Requirements

• Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active, unrestricted Alabama Nurse Practitioner license.
• Federal DEA, and Alabama State Controlled Substance Registration required.
• National Board Certification (AANP or ANCC) as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 4 years of primary care experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care, including health assessments, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Focus on health promotion, disease prevention, and patient education.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team of physicians, medical assistants, and social workers.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records in our Electronic Health Record system (athenaOne).
• Participate in health fairs and outreach events to raise community health awareness.
