About The Position

Comprehensive Healthcare provides innovative behavioral health and integrated healthcare services to clients of all ages. We’re seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to provide integrated acute and primary care services within a behavioral health setting at Comprehensive Healthcare. In this role, you’ll care for patients enrolled in behavioral health services, addressing medical needs in a collaborative, team-based environment. This position is ideal for providers who are comfortable working with complex patient populations, including individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. Experience with psychiatric medication management is helpful but not required. Participation in a rotating schedule for weekend rounding and after-hours call is available for additional compensation and may include coverage for inpatient psychiatric facilities.

Requirements

  • Washington State Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License (ARNP)
  • Washington State RN License
  • Board certification in Family Medicine Nursing or Adult-Gerontology Primary Care
  • DEA Registration
  • Controlled Substance Certification
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in family practice, , or primary care
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle liability insurance
  • In compliance with state and federal law, Comprehensive Healthcare requires all candidates to complete a post-offer, pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including physical exams, to diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including patient education and health coaching
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to support continuity of care across multiple settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient psychiatric/SUD units, and hospitals
  • Diagnose and initiate treatment for common psychiatric conditions such as depression and anxiety
  • Perform minor procedures (e.g., , minor wound care) as needed
  • Accurately document patient care using EMR systems (SmartCare)
  • Prescribe medications in accordance with state and federal regulations
