About The Position

Northeastern Rural Health Clinics (NRHC) is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner to lead our primary care clinic in Westwood, California. This is a small, close-knit clinic where the FNP can build lasting relationships with patients and become an important part of the community. The position offers a high level of clinical autonomy, along with the support and resources of NRHC’s larger healthcare team. The FNP will provide primary care to patients across the lifespan, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and treatment of common illnesses and injuries. Providers typically see approximately 18 patients per day. The selected FNP will also have the opportunity to help manage the clinic, including supporting the clinic team, helping guide daily operations, and making decisions based on the needs of the patients and community. These additional responsibilities come with an annual clinic management stipend of $18,000. This is a full-time position with scheduling flexibility. There are no weekend clinic hours or on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Current California Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner licenses, or the ability to obtain them
  • Current national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
  • Furnishing number and DEA registration, or the ability to obtain them
  • Current BLS certification, or the ability to obtain it
  • Ability to meet NRHC credentialing and privileging requirements
  • Comfortable practicing with a high level of autonomy in a rural primary care setting
  • Interest in clinic leadership and day-to-day operations
  • Commitment to providing quality care to rural and underserved patients

Nice To Haves

  • Five or more years of clinical experience preferred

Benefits
