About The Position

Carolina QuickCare is hiring a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at our Marion clinic. Marion is the county seat of McDowell County in the western North Carolina foothills, nestled between Asheville and Morganton with access to the Blue Ridge Mountains. You will be the primary provider on-site, managing acute and episodic care independently in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You are supported by established clinical protocols, a dedicated clinic support team, and direct access to clinical leadership and network resources. Onboarding includes a structured clinical orientation designed to set you up for success from day one.

Requirements

• Licensed FNP-C or PA-C in North Carolina, or eligible for licensure
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• 1+ years of urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a patient-centered approach to care

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute and episodic conditions.
• Perform common urgent care procedures, including laceration repair, abscess drainage, splinting, wound care, and DOT physicals.
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic testing, including in-house labs and imaging.
• Prescribe medications appropriately and provide patient education on treatment plans, follow-up care, and preventive health.
• Document encounters thoroughly and accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with clinic staff to maintain efficient patient flow, quality outcomes, and a strong patient experience.
