About The Position

Carolina QuickCare is seeking a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a clinic-based urgent care team in North Carolina. This is a full-time, on-site position providing acute and episodic care in a fast-paced, autonomous practice environment. Providers function as the sole clinical provider on-site and are expected to work independently, managing patient care decisions with confidence and sound clinical judgment. A support structure is in place, including established clinical protocols, a dedicated clinic support team, and access to clinical leadership and network resources. Onboarding includes a structured clinical orientation designed to set providers up for success from day one.

Requirements

• Licensed FNP-C or PA-C in North Carolina, or eligible for licensure
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• 1+ years of urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a patient-centered approach to care

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute and episodic conditions.
• Perform common urgent care procedures, including laceration repair, abscess drainage, splinting, wound care, and DOT physicals.
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic testing, including in-house labs and imaging.
• Prescribe medications appropriately and provide patient education on treatment plans, follow-up care, and preventive health.
• Document encounters thoroughly and accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with clinic staff to maintain efficient patient flow, quality outcomes, and a strong patient experience.
• Take on additional responsibilities as careers develop, including clinical training and precepting roles, input on operational and clinical protocol development, and mentorship of newer providers.
• Expand clinical footprint by having access to shifts across multiple locations within the network.
