About The Position

Carolina QuickCare is hiring a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at our West Jefferson clinic. West Jefferson is a small mountain town in northwestern North Carolina, offering a tight-knit community feel with easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and outdoor recreation. You will be the primary provider on-site, managing acute and episodic care independently in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You are supported by established clinical protocols, a dedicated clinic support team, and direct access to clinical leadership and network resources. Onboarding includes a structured clinical orientation designed to set you up for success from day one.

Requirements

• Licensed FNP-C or PA-C in North Carolina, or eligible for licensure
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a patient-centered approach to care

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years of urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute and episodic conditions.
• Perform common urgent care procedures, including laceration repair, abscess drainage, splinting, wound care, and DOT physicals.
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic testing, including in-house labs and imaging.
• Prescribe medications appropriately and provide patient education on treatment plans, follow-up care, and preventive health.
• Document encounters thoroughly and accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with clinic staff to maintain efficient patient flow, quality outcomes, and a strong patient experience.
