About The Position

MFM Health is seeking a dedicated and driven full-time Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with at least 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing private Family Medicine practice in Danvers, MA. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and are committed to delivering exceptional medical care. Selected candidates will work within a collaborative team environment, placing the patient at the center of our care model while serving as a physician’s back-up in delivering top-tier medical care. You must be skilled in assessing, diagnosing, and treating complex illnesses, and passionate about providing holistic care to patients of all ages.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program.
  • Current NP or PA license and certification from the appropriate licensing board.
  • Valid Massachusetts NP or PA License.
  • Valid Federal DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration (MCSR) Licenses.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing medical education (CME).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound clinical judgment.
  • Adherence to ethical and legal standards in patient care and medical practice.
  • Experience in and commitment to working with diverse populations.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Understanding and experience in Ambulatory Medical Care Management.
  • Competency in basic medical and surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform new patient screenings, yearly physical examinations, and review patient medical histories.
  • Maintain and update patient electronic medical records, ensuring accuracy at each appointment.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to address patient clinical problems and healthcare needs.
  • Review lab, x-ray, and ED or Admission reports, initiating appropriate patient follow-up.
  • Prescribe medications and other treatments, including physical, respiratory, and occupational therapy, to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Treat acute illnesses such as cold, flu, and infections.
  • Manage chronic diseases, such as hypertension and diabetes, with coordinated specialty care when needed.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Provide well-child care, including immunizations, sports physicals, and screenings.
  • Conduct gynecological exams and pap smears.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to implement initiatives that improve patient care and practice performance.
  • Educate patients on health risks, preventive care, diet, exercise, and overall wellness.
  • Coordinate care with other healthcare providers and manage patient cases effectively.
  • Stay current with medical advancements and best practices to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.
