About The Position

Medcor is seeking a part-time Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our employer-based clinic in Waconia, MN. This role focuses on Primary and Acute Episodic Care within an Employee Advanced Practice Clinic setting. The position offers a supportive, collaborative work environment with opportunities for growth and an emphasis on provider wellness. Medcor is committed to providing time for patient engagement, evidence-based practice, and a work-life balance with no nights or weekend shifts and very limited call. The clinic provides a broad scope of services including the diagnosis and treatment of workers compensation injuries and illnesses, urgent care, surveillance and regulatory exams, and preventative services. The PA/NP will work closely with an on-site oversight physician, Medcor operational leaders, and client professionals.

Requirements

  • A valid unrestricted state of Minnesota licensure
  • A minimum of one year of primary care experience
  • Current DEA & BLS certifications
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with EMR software
  • A positive and outgoing personality, and be a collaborative team player
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – with patients, clients and colleagues
  • Willingness to go above and beyond to give excellent customer service
  • Comfortable working in an on-site clinic environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent advanced care for the clinic.
  • Work collaboratively with other medical and operational leadership at Medcor, other Medcor associates, and key contacts within the client�s corporate structure.
  • Cooperate closely with the on-site medical staff operating in the clinic.
  • Focus on team care across the Medcor operation for this client.
  • Diagnose and treat workers compensation injuries and illnesses.
  • Provide urgent care.
  • Perform surveillance and regulatory exams.
  • Offer preventative services.
  • Work closely with a Medcor employed oversight physician assigned to the site, as well as other Medcor operational leaders and support teams.
  • Provide superior clinical care and customer service to Medcor�s client and employees.
  • Treat injuries and illnesses following Evidence Based Medicine standards.
  • Build and maintain internal team relationships.
  • Collaborate with client professionals in health, safety and environmental practices.
  • Collaborate with client human resources and benefits professionals on clinical issues.
  • Support client�s wellness and preventative programs.
  • Document and manage information using state-of-the-art EMR and other tools.
  • Educate patients regarding medical conditions and treatment options.
  • Coach patients regarding healthy behaviors.
