Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, Per Diem - Wilmington
About The Position
OptumCare, the largest network of medical groups in the nation, is seeking a Per Diem Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their care team. Optum Onsites provides employer-based care that focuses on whole-person health. This role is based in the Wilmington, DE area supporting care teams by covering absences such as PTO, planned time off, and sick time. This is a great fit for a confident, independent FNP / PA who enjoys variety and is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Clinic locations include: 500 Stanton Christiana Rd., Newark; 301 N. Walnut St., Wilmington; 880 Powder Mill Rd., Wilmington.
Requirements
- Certified Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Delaware
- Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- 2+ years of clinical experience as a FNP / PA in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, ambulatory, emergency and/or urgent care setting(s)
- Experience using computers for professional communication
- Experience using Electronic Health Record systems for medical documentation
- Experience seeing patients of all ages, including children and adolescents
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between clinic locations
Nice To Haves
- Experience using Athena EMR for medical documentation
- Proven ability to work autonomously in a clinical setting
Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality, low acuity care including:
- Acute care of minor illness and injuries
- Minor procedures (e.g., suturing, splinting, incision/drainage, etc.)
