About The Position

Medcor is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work on a PRN (as-needed) basis in an employer-based clinic setting in Independence, OR. The clinic is located at a manufacturing site and focuses on Primary and Urgent Care. The clinic operates Monday-Wednesday from 6 am to 2:30 pm. The compensation starts at $74.00/hour, with potential for increased earnings based on experience. Requirements

  • A valid unrestricted OR licensure.
  • Current DEA & BLS certifications.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with EMR software.
  • A positive and outgoing personality.
  • Ability to be a collaborative team player.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – with patients, clients and colleagues.
  • Willingness to go above and beyond to give excellent customer service.
  • Comfort working in an on-site clinic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent primary and acute episodic care for the clinic.
  • Work collaboratively with other medical and operational leadership at Medcor, other Medcor associates, and key contacts within the client's corporate structure.
  • Cooperate closely with the on-site medical staff operating in the clinic.
  • Focus on team care across the Medcor operation for this client.
  • Diagnose and treat workers' compensation injuries and illnesses.
  • Provide urgent care.
  • Conduct surveillance and regulatory exams.
  • Offer preventative services.
  • Work closely with an assigned Medcor employed oversight physician.
  • Provide superior clinical care and customer service to Medcor's client and employees.
  • Treat injuries and illnesses following Evidence Based Medicine standards.
  • Build and maintain internal team relationships.
  • Collaborate with client professionals in health, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Collaborate with client human resources and benefits professionals on clinical issues.
  • Support client's wellness and preventative programs.
  • Document and manage information using state-of-the-art EMR and other tools.
  • Educate patients regarding medical conditions and treatment options.
  • Coach patients regarding healthy behaviors.
