About The Position

The Family Ministries Director provides vision, leadership, and pastoral care for the church's family ministries, equipping leaders and creating a pathway for spiritual growth from childhood through young adulthood. This role develops healthy ministry teams, supports volunteers, and partners with parents to help every generation know Christ, grow in their faith, and live on mission.

Oversight of Kids Ministry, Youth Ministry, and Young Adults Ministry.
Monthly one-on-one check-ins with ministry team leaders.
Praying regularly with or for ministry leaders.
Encouraging personal spiritual growth of leaders.
Helping leaders identify goals, celebrate wins, and navigate challenges.
Equipping leaders with resources, training, and development opportunities.
Developing ministry calendars and annual goals.
Overseeing ministry budgets and resource allocation.
Maintaining safety policies and volunteer screening procedures.
Coordinating ministry events, camps, retreats, and outreach opportunities.
Collaborating with church staff and ministry leaders for seamless transitions.
Participating in staff meetings and church-wide planning.
Supporting the overall vision and mission of the church.
Checking in with Young Adults Director, Youth Director, and Kids Director monthly.
Providing spiritual oversight to each ministry area.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a unified vision for Family Ministries that aligns with the church's mission and values.
Lead, coach, and support ministry leaders across all family ministry areas.
Recruit, train, and empower volunteers to serve effectively.
Foster an environment of discipleship, excellence, and spiritual growth.
Provide leadership and oversight for Kids Ministry, Youth Ministry, Young Adults Ministry, and additional ministries as assigned.
Conduct monthly one-on-one check-ins with each ministry team leader to provide encouragement, accountability, coaching, and ministry support.
Pray regularly with or for ministry leaders and encourage their personal spiritual growth.
