About The Position

The Residency Program Manager is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and managing all aspects of the Residency Program in coordination with the Program Director (physician). This role oversees the day-to-day operations of the residency program, including preceptor and rotation scheduling, resident recruitment, and overall program administration. The position ensures compliance with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), University of Minnesota, and program requirements, policies, and standards. In addition, the Residency Program Manager partners with administrators at clinical training sites across multiple health systems and community partners to support high-quality educational experiences. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, education, health sciences, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in program/project management with evidence of increasing areas of responsibility

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Residency Program, including program planning, coordination, and supervision of administrative support
  • Manage preceptor and rotation schedules to ensure effective resident training experiences
  • Ensure compliance with ACGME, University of Minnesota, program requirements, and organizational policies and standards
  • Collaborate with administrators at clinical and community training sites to support quality educational experiences
  • Manage the resident recruitment process, including coordination of hiring and onboarding activities
  • Monitor and manage the program budget in accordance with Essentia Health policies and procedures
  • Support ongoing program development and improvement in coordination in partnership with the Program Director and other stakeholders
