About The Position

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Family Medicine Physician (Bilingual Bengali) for a multi-specialty practice in Queens, New York. This role involves providing comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient population, with a focus on serving the Bengali-speaking community. Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program.
  • Must have a New York State medical license.
  • Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
  • Proficient in performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and utilizing electronic health records.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Bengali.
  • Strong clinical judgment, cultural competence, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Bengali or have relevant experience supporting Bengali-speaking or comparable communities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive family medicine services, including routine check-ups, health screenings, immunizations, and preventive care for patients of all ages.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, respiratory infections, and other common illnesses.
  • Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
  • Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Educate patients and families on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and treatment options—delivering all education in both English and Bengali as needed.
  • Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare professionals within the multi-specialty practice.
  • Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation in electronic medical records.
  • Provide culturally competent care that respects the language, beliefs, and practices of Bengali-speaking patients and their families.
  • Serve as a trusted medical resource for the Bengali community, helping to bridge language and cultural barriers to healthcare access.
