About The Position
Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, Texas is recruiting a BC/BE Family Medicine physician for a position with Northwest JO Wyatt, our community health center. This is an employed, outpatient-only position serving patients of all ages, with an opportunity to work with underserved populations including Medicaid. The clinic offers Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, women's, and children's services.
Requirements
- BC/BE Family Medicine required
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Family Medicine residency required
- Active, clear Texas license and DEA or ability to obtain
- Clean professional background
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate bedside manner
Responsibilities
- Support the NWTHS mission of delivering high quality, compassionate care to Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle region
- Provide comprehensive primary and preventative care to patients of all ages
- Treat acute illnesses and manage chronic diseases
- Coordinate care including referral to specialists and other health professionals
